HSHW recognizes the importance of protecting soil and promoting soil health. In past years, cost sharing has highlighted the practice of growing cover crops. While there are many other farming practices that build healthy soils and reduce nutrient and sediment runoff.
For 2022, cover cropping or any other conservation practice that you implement is potentially cost-sharable. For example, less tillage passes, changing tillage methods, or anything that would improve soil health or water quality.
